It is one of the most common developmental disorders, impacting 1 in 14 children in kindergarten. However, it is difficult to identify. DLD can affect a child\u2019s speech, comprehension, reading, and writing. The disorder first emerges in childhood and can have long-term effects on someone\u2019s academic, personal, and professional life. That said, treatment and support are available!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bilingual children are frequently over- and under-identified with DLD.
